Suspension of Lactation Consultation Clinic services
In view of the latest situation of COVID-19, all our lactation consultation clinic services will be suspended until further notice.
Cancellation of Antenatal Class
In response to the activation of Emergency Response Level due to the emergence of novel coronavirus infection, all our antenatal classes will be cancelled until further notice.
We support and have registered for Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative Accreditation!
Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong greatly supports breastfeeding for its positive impact on babies, families and the wider community. Run by International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), our Lactation Clinic provides professional and comprehensive pre-natal and post-natal support related to breastfeeding.
A) Prenatal / Postnatal Counselling — Single
Participant(s): Couple / Individual
Ideal Months: 24 weeks or above of Pregnancy
Fee: HK$800* (around one hour)
Topics: Information and advice on Breastfeeding, Breast care
*20% off will be offered for mothers who gave birth at Gleneagles
1. Outpatient service
Fee: HK$1,200* per visit (around 1.5 hours, depending on individual situation)
Topics:
- Attachment and positioning assessment
- Breast milk expression technique: Hand expression/pumping
- Prevention and management of problems: Cracked nipples, engorgement, insufficient milk supply, etc.
- Assessment and suggestions to support the mother
- Nipple problems management: Inverted/retracted/flat nipples
- Mastitis/breast abscess/blocked duct/twins management
- Breast massage
- Infant oral assessment
*20 % off will be offered for mothers who gave birth at Gleneagles (Not applicable to home visit service)
2. Home visit
Fee: HK$1,800 per visit around 1.5 hours, depending on individual situation)
B) Prenatal / Postnatal Counselling — Package
